School Teacher in Trouble After Projecting Pornography to Class of 13-year-old Pupils

A school teacher who projected pornography to his pupils who were classified as minors, is set to face the ultimate punishment.

Stephen Lawrie

A bungling teacher is to be banned after accidentally broadcasting porn to his horrified students.

The teacher identified as 56-year-old Stephen Lawrie, mistakenly projected the explicit material to pupils as young as 13 while viewing x-rated websites in class.

The IT tutor was sacked and is due to be banned from the profession today, the Daily Record reported.

It is understood he did not mean the pupils to see what was on his personal screen at Coatbridge High School in North Lanarkshire .

However it was projected on to an interactive “smartboard” used for teaching computing.

The school received complaints from a number of pupils after the incident in April. The teacher was immediately suspended while an investigation was carried out and he was sacked in August.

Lawrie accessed the website while teaching an S2 class. He has since consented to his removal from the teaching register, which will bar him from working in classrooms for good.

He can only teach again if he applies to be reinstated to the register and is approved by a panel.

The case was set to be called before a General Teaching Council panel in Edinburgh this morning.

How I Caught My Mother Having S*x With My Husband

A woman has recounted how her mother destroyed her home by having an illicit affair with her husband right in her home.

Life is such an unending drama. At times I wonder if there is anything like true happiness. We always have one part of our lives where  the sadness is springing forth from. There is this popular belief that we only find perfect peace when we die. This point of my life prompts me to face the ultimate fear of every human being which is death.

I am 35-year old woman from Port Harcourt. I met my husband, Alfred during my days in the bank. He was a regular customer and after a disagreement with him one day while the bank's server was experiencing issues, we became friends. One thing led to another and we started dating which later led to our marriage a year later. My mother, 59, who is a widow never saw anything good about Alfred. She criticized every bit of his life. This almost ruined our plans to get married but I stood my ground not really because I love him but I was 33 years old with much pressure to get hooked as my friends in my age range were already having kids. It was a golden opportunity for me and I couldn't afford to lose him. I was scared of being lonely for the rest of my life which is a normal feeling among over-age single ladies.

In the course of interrogating my mother on her stark hatred for Alfred, I realized she made no sense with her random reasons which I found incomprehensible. One of her reasons was that Alfred is tall, fair and handsome which constitutes the major attributes of infidelity in marriage as other women will signify interest in him. I laughed this off. Alfred is a wonderful guy. He is quite shy but very soft and caring. Even though I had my fears about other women trying to steal him from him, I remained defiant and prepared to secure what is mine.

After our first child; a very handsome boy, I was retrenched from the bank as a result of the regular restructuring process and cash crunch issues. I started selling shoes at the store. My mom assisted in taking care of my baby at home.

My mother's presence at our home worsened the relationship between her and Alfred, she seized every available opportunity to insult him which didn't go down well with me. At a point I almost hired a nanny to relieve my mom of her duties but people advised me against the decision. My mom didn't seem happy staying with us but she never left which bothered me and I wasn't bold enough to tell her to go as I am her only child who have been with her since my father passed away 10 years ago.

One day, our neighbour who stays in the opposite flat came to my stall and advised me against letting my mom stay in the house. My neighbour is a full time housewife who is quite popular in the neighbourhood for gossiping. Her reasons were not clear. She said letting her stay is detrimental to my marriage and with time the signs will manifest. I pestered her on her reasons and she revealed my husband comes home from work in the afternoon virtually everyday to stay with my mother in the house during which some loud moaning of pleasure are heard. According to her, she isn't sure of the woman but from the voice and movements, its my mom. What an impossibility!  Our flats seem close and sometimes, you could hear what is happening at the next flat from my room. I couldn't believe it considering the strained relationship between them. I was so annoyed. I almost beat her up. I angrily sent her away.

On a second thought, I placed both of them under surveillance and didn't observe anything strange. During my observations, my mother almost slapped Alfred for mistakenly spilling our baby's food. I was so unimpressed with my mother's disrespect for Alfred. He swore he was going to eject her from the house but I pleaded. This was the confirmation of my the falsehood behind my neighbour's claim but my only concern was that Alfred wasn't bothering me for s*x anymore. He was staying for over a month without lovemaking and no complaints. Its unusual as his libido could be unbearable at times. Even when I make moves at night, he complains of being tired. His weak points were his nipples, once you suck them, he gets 'enraged' like a lion ready to devour its prey but they were inactive.

One day I had to give him a head on a lengthy note to put him in the mood and even when he got hard. He couldn't exceed one round. This is someone that could take a woman on as long as she wants. My husband is from Akwa Ibom for crying out loud and their men are famous for their sexual prowess. He gave his current work schedule as an excuse which I found suspicious and disturbing. An average Akwa Ibom man could pick a beautiful woman over a huge sum of money to start a business. They believe money can always be exhausted in the course of spending but the woman will always be there to bring pleasure and happiness.

I received the shock of my life two months later when I forgot some fancy shoes I brought from Dubai which I wanted to deliver to my customer at home. It was 1pm in the afternoon. I left my salesgirl at the stall and rushed home because the woman was disappointed after fantasizing about the pictures of the shoes I sent to her via Whatsapp. I drove home and parked my car outside. I shockingly saw my husband's car at the garage. This was someone that left home before me. I was bothered. The feeling reminded me of my undergraduate days when you visit the scoreboard to check your result in a course that was rumoured to have recorded a mass failure. I was terrified with the words of my neighbour ringing in my head. The main door wasn't locked. My husband's shoes, shirt and singlet were littered around the sitting room. Our son was sleeping on the sofa. I quietly moved up the staircase with my shoes off to prevent any sound from my movements. From the staircase, I could hear some intense moaning and groaning. It was like a battlefield. Lo and behold, the sounds were from my own mother and my husband who I assumed were stalemates.I never knew my mother was still sexually active. She was screaming and uttering all sorts of words associated with ecstacy.

I got closer to where the noises were coming from, it was our bedroom, my matrimonial bed. I wished it was a dream. I was begging for someone to wake me up so that I could pray over it. I felt the ground should open and swallow me. The door wasn't closed. My husband and my mother were stark n*ked and he was heavily humping her from behind as they backed me. My heart broke when my mother muttered statements like:

''I love you! I wish I met you first!! You are too sweet!!!''

''My daughter doesn't deserve you! I love you!! Alfred baby!!! Alfred oooo!!!!''

I screamed so loud. They were scared to death on sighting me. The next time I opened my eyes, I was in the hospital. I was told I passed out. My life is so miserable right now. I don't know where to start from. My sickness currently is from the mind. Alfred has been coming to beg but the sight of him complicates my problem. I don't ever want to set my eyes on him and my mother again. I feel for our son that will become a product of a broken home. I am so confused. I have begged the doctors for mercy killing but they have refused. I think I am going insane.

The emotional pains are too much for me to bear. Alfred revealed to me via a lengthy email that my mom seduced him long ago while he desperately sought to make friends with her for the sake of our marriage. That's no just reason for him to be sleeping with my own mother.

That's a curse. I am so confused. Where do I go from here?

How Thisday Publisher, Obaigbena Used Arms Funds to Finance Arise TV

A new report has revealed how the embattled ThisDay publisher, Nduka Obaigbena used money he collected from the office of the National Security Adviser to fund his media house.

Sources at the EFCC where the flamboyant publisher is currently being quizzed for the second day after he turned himself in on Tuesday, January 26, 2016, disclosed that Nduka Obaigbena disbursed N568,360,000 from the ONSA heist to Arise Global Media Limited, promoters of troubled international pay TV, Arise TV.

The source maintained that the amount was transferred from the account of General Hydrocarbon, which received the initial payment from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA purportedly for a contract that was not stated. The mandate for the first tranche of N150million paid to General Hydrocarbon by the ONSA indicate that it was for Environmental Security Project, while the remaining tranches were tagged energy consulting.

The source disclosed that investigation has so far not established a nexus between the funds paid to General Hydrocarbon and the alleged monies paid to NPAN members by Obaigbena. “There is so far no established trail of funds moving from General Hydrocarbon’s account and the NPAN account which should have confirmed the claim by Nduka that he received money from ONSA for onward delivery to NPAN members."

In the absence of this link, the source disclosed that it is becoming clear that funds were moved from ONSA’a account to fund Arise TV.

The source disclosed that Obaigbena has already written an undertaking, to refund the money collected from ONSA within two weeks, perhaps as precondition to be released on administrative bail.

The Day Dangote Bargained Eko Hotel Car Park Fee from N5,000 to N1,000 - Bismarck Rewane

A close friend and business associate of Nigeria's business mogul, Aliko Dangote has narrated how he negotiated against an obnoxious charge for using a car park

Dangote's longtime friend, Bismarck Rewane, CEO of consultancy firm Financial Derivatives, in an interview with Reuters recalled a business dinner they had at Eko Hotel in Victoria Island. According to Rewane, when he and the billionaire businessman left in Dangote's black Mercedes, the hotel staff had charged 5,000 Naira for parking, which was in excess, but nothing for a man of Dangote's wealth.

Suspecting the rip-off, Rewane said Dangote negotiated it down to 1,000 Naira. In Rewane's words, "He (Dangote) spent a good few minutes doing it. I said to him: 'let's just go. Our time is more valuable than a few thousand naira. But he wouldn't let it go. He smiled afterward. He was so happy he'd got a good deal."

Although his net worth is about $14.1billion as of today, Aliko Dangote deplores being wasteful with money. The billionaire CEO/founder of Dangote Group is Africa's richest man.

Dangote owns a private jet, a yacht as well as choice properties in Ikoyi, and Victoria Island, exclusive playgrounds of ultra-wealthy Nigerians in Lagos. By the standards of some Nigerian billionaires, Dangote is not that extravagant, but is not always so frugal.

Eritrean Officials Respond to Forced Polygamy Hoax

Top Eritrean officials have reacted to the forced polygamy story that went viral on the internet two days ago with massive memes from Nigerians to mock the situations.

A satirical story that Eritrean men have been ordered to marry at least two wives, which has been shared across Africa, has upset Eritrean officials.

"Even a madman in [the Eritrean capital] Asmara would know that this story was not true," an Eritrean official told the BBC.

The hoax was first published online on a Kenyan news site called Crazy Monday with some men subsequently commenting on Twitter that they are ready to travel to Eritrea to find a new wife.

Crazy Monday, which is published by the Standard newspaper, is well known for its focus on scandalous stories and gossip as part of an attempt to attract a younger readership, says Mathias Muindi from the BBC's media monitoring service.

But this has not stopped it being reported in many countries from Nigeria to South Africa, with some suggesting that it was true. The story said that to make up for the shortage of men in the country, following the civil war with Ethiopia from 1998-2000, every man must marry at least two women or face imprisonment.

It has been trending on Twitter in Nigeria, and other countries, for several days with people sharing links to the country's visa application documents.

Eritrea's Information Minister Yemane Gebremeskel tweeted that "the media frenzy to parrot this ludicrous, fabricated and trite story... is appalling". In another tweet Mr Yemane said "the story illustrates [the] vileness of the dark forces of disinformation and proclivity of others to readily embrace the negative narrative on Eritrea".

The New York-based group Human Rights Watch says that there is a "dismal human rights situation" in Eritrea and the restrictions there, including on the freedom of expression, have led some to call it the North Korea of Africa.

EFCC Operative Accused of Impregnating and Battering 19-year-old Canteen Attendant (Photos)

An operative of anti-graft agency has been accused of sexually taking advantage of a teenage girl and putting her in the family way.

There was a show of shame recently at the premises of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, after one of the operatives allegedly battered a 19-year old canteen attendant he allegedly impregnated in Lagos State, western Nigeria, according to PM news.

The teenager was allegedly assaulted at the EFCC office located on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos where the operative works as exhibit keeper. The victim, Blessing Nwokpa, who was a canteen attendant at the EFCC premises was allegedly impregnated by the EFCC operative identified as Okeke Edward, who refused to take responsibility for the pregnancy.

P.M.NEWS gathered that rather, Okeke allegedly offered her money to terminate the pregnancy but Blessing refused. For her obstinacy, Blessing who was living with Edward as a squatter, allegedly became an object of battering and assault by him.

Edward allegedly threw her and her belongings out of his house and sent her away from his house at 23, Akinseji street, Fadeyi. Blessing, who is now seven months pregnant, became homeless and could not feed herself after she was sacked from the canteen when she became pregnant.

Frustrated by Edward’s action, Blessing went to EFCC office where Edward works to request for money to feed and for ante-natal care. When Edward saw her at EFCC premises, he allegedly descended on her and battered her to the extent that she collapsed and was later rescued.

Sources said the intervention of senior officers saved Blessing from further battering. Following the assault, Blessing went to the Legal Aids Council of Nigeria whose office is located in Ikoyi and reported the matter.

Further reports have it that Okeke took advantage of the poor girl's accommodation problems as she was sleeping in the canteen since her elder brother who invited her to Lagos for a better place had the same issues. He started making sexual advances at the teenager at night till he eventually deflowered and impregnated her.

She is currently helpless and relies on an NGO in Lagos for survival while the EFCC operative boasts of being above the law, according to a correspondent.

CANDID STYLE - So Sexy! See Beautiful Photos of Nigerian Ladies Rocking Ankara Bum Shorts (Photos). Ladies Get In Here.

Due to the effects of globalization and enlightenment, local fabrics used for traditional attires are now being styled in the form of English wears to suit the shifting trends of fashion.

In Nigeria today, Ankara fabrics are being styled into English wears and there have been several cases of ladies rocking Ankara bum shorts to high-profile entertainment events and have also made appearances on top magazines

This has boosted the concept of Ankara wears in modern fashion. Ankara Fabric commonly known as African prints, African wax prints, Holland wax and Dutch Wax  is a 100% cotton fabric with vibrant patterns.

It is usually a colorful fabric and is primarily associated with Africa because of its tribal-like patterns and motifs. It is also a very versatile fabric and many items can be made from it such as hats, earrings, blazers, and shoes to name a few.

To make Ankara an even more versatile fabric, companies have most recently included Ankara prints on chiffon for clothing such as kaftans and socks.

GOBE - Drama as Two Prostitutes Beat Up Policeman in Lagos

Two pleasure workers have been docked for allegedly physically assaulting a law enforcement agent in Lagos.

Two s*x workers were yesterday arraigned before an Apapa Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly beating up a policeman.

Dominica Paul, 22; and Chioma Aneka, both residents of Ajegunle area of Apapa, Lagos are standing trial on a three-count charge of breach of peace, unlawful damage and assault.

According to prosecuting Inspector Tony Elibeh, the accused beat up a policeman simply identified as Sergeant Usang and also tore his uniform while performing his duty, the Nation reports.

He said the accused committed the offences on January 20 at New Road, Olodi-Apapa. The complainant (Usang) saw the accused roaming the street at about midnight and decided to confront them.

“When Usang asked them where they were going, the accused could not give a satisfactory answer and he decided to take them to the police station. Paul and Aneka, who did not want to follow the policeman to the station, conspired to beat him up and also tear his shirt,” Elibeh told the court.

The accused, however, denied the charge. The Chief Magistrate, Mr Titus Abolarinwa, granted the s*x workers bail in the sum of N50,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.

Further hearing in the case was fixed for February 24.

National Assembly of Corruption, Greed, Lawlessness & Impunity - Obasanjo Writes Saraki & Dogara

In a shocking letter, former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has written the National Assembly accusing the lawmakers of corruption, impunity, greed and of repeatedly breaking the nation's laws. A must read indeed!

Nigeria's former President, Olusegun Obasanjo who ruled the country between 1999 and 2007, has written the National Assembly accusing the lawmakers of corruption, impunity, greed and of repeatedly breaking the nation’s laws.

The letter exclusively obtained by Premium Times was dated January 16th and addressed to the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, the former president specifically accused the lawmakers of fixing and earning salaries and allowances far above what the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission approved for them.

He also alleged that most of the 109 senators and 369 members of the House of Representatives were receiving constituency allowances without maintaining constituency offices as the laws required of them.

The former president argued that the purpose of election into the Legislative Assembly particularly at the national level was to give service to the nation and not for the personal service and interest of members at the expense of the nation which seemed to have been the mentality, psychology, mindset and practice within the National Assembly since the beginning of this present democratic dispensation.

He asked pointedly, 'Where is patriotism? Where is commitment? Where is service?'

Below is Obasanjo’s letter in full:

    January 13, 2016,
    Distinguished Senator Bukola Saraki,
    President of the Senate,
    Federal Republic of Nigeria,
    Senate Chambers,
    Abuja.
    Honourable Yakubu Dogara,
    Speaker, House of Representatives,
    National Assembly Complex,
    Abuja.

It is appropriate to begin this letter, which I am sending to all members of the Senate and the House of Representatives through both of you at this auspicious and critical time, with wishes of Happy New Year to you all.

On a few occasions in the past, both in and out of office as the President of Nigeria, I have agonised on certain issues within the arms of government at the national level and among the tiers of government as well. Not least, I have reflected and expressed, outspokenly at times, my views on the practice in the National Assembly which detracts from distinguishness and honourability because it is shrouded in opaqueness and absolute lack of transparency and could not be regarded as normal, good and decent practice in a democracy that is supposed to be exemplary. I am, of course, referring to the issue of budgets and finances of the National Assembly.

The present economic situation that the country has found itself in is the climax of the steady erosion of good financial and economic management which grew from bad to worse in the last six years or so. The executive and the legislative arms of government must accept and share responsibility in this regard. And if there will be a redress of the situation as early as possible, the two arms must also bear the responsibility proportionally. The two arms ran the affairs of the country unmindful of the rainy day. The rainy day is now here. It would not work that the two arms should stand side by side with one arm pulling and without the support of the other one for good and efficient management of the economy.

The purpose of election into the Legislative Assembly particularly at the national level is to give service to the nation and not for the personal service and interest of members at the expense of the nation which seemed to have been the mentality, psychology, mindset and practice within the National Assembly since the beginning of this present democratic dispensation. Where is patriotism? Where is commitment? Where is service?

The beginning of good governance which is the responsibility of all arms and all the tiers of government is openness and transparency. It does not matter what else we try to do, as long as one arm of government shrouds its financial administration and management in opaqueness and practices rife with corruption, only very little, if anything at all, can be achieved in putting Nigeria on the path of sustainable and enduring democratic system, development and progress. Governance without transparency will be a mockery of democracy.

Let us be more direct and specific so that action can be taken where it is urgently necessary. A situation where our national budget was predicated on $38 per barrel of oil with estimated 2 million barrels per day and before the budget was presented, the price of oil had gone down to $34 per barrel and now hovering around $30 and we have no assurance of producing 2 million barrels and if we can, we have no assurance of finding market for it, definitely calls for caution. If production and price projected in the budget stand, we would have to borrow almost one third of the 6 trillion naira budget. Now beginning with the reality of the budget, there is need for sober reflection and sacrifice with innovation at the level of executive and legislative arms of government. The soberness, the sacrifice and seriousness must be patient and apparent.

It must not be seen and said that those who, as leaders, call for sacrifice from the citizenry are living in obscene opulence. It will not only be insensitive but callously so. It would seem that it is becoming a culture that election into the legislative arm of government at the national level in particular is a licence for financial misconduct and that should not be. The National Assembly now has a unique opportunity of presenting a new image of itself. It will help to strengthen, deepen, widen and sustain our democracy.

By our Constitution, the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission is charged with the responsibility of fixing emoluments of the three arms of government: executive, legislature and judiciary. The Commission did its job but by different disingenuous ways and devices, the legislature had overturned the recommendation of the Commission and hiked up for themselves that which they are unwilling to spell out in detail, though they would want to defend it by force of arm if necessary. What is that?

Mr. President of the Senate and Hon. Speaker of the House, you know that your emolument which the Commission had recommended for you takes care of all your legitimate requirements: basic salary, car, housing, staff, constituency allowance. Although the constituency allowance is paid to all members of the National Assembly, many of them have no constituency offices which the allowance is partly meant to cater for. And yet other allowances and payments have been added by the National Assembly for the National Assembly members’ emoluments. Surely, strictly speaking, it is unconstitutional.

There is no valid argument for this except to see it for what it is – law-breaking and impunity by lawmakers. The lawmakers can return to the path of honour, distinguishness, sensitivity and responsibility. The National Assembly should have the courage to publish its recurrent budgets for the years 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015. That is what transparency demands. With the number of legislators not changing, comparison can be made. Comparisons in emoluments can also be made with countries like Ghana, Kenya, Senegal and even Malaysia and Indonesia who are richer and more developed than we are.

The budget is a proposal and only an estimate of income and expenditure. Where income is inadequate, expenditure will not be made. While in government, I was threatened with impeachment by the members of the National Assembly for not releasing some money they had appropriated for themselves which were odious and for which there were no incomes to support. The recent issue of cars for legislators would fall into the same category.

Whatever name it is disguised as, it is unnecessary and insensitive. A pool of a few cars for each Chamber will suffice for any Committee Chairman or members for any specific duty. The waste that has gone into cars, furniture, housing renovation in the past was mind-boggling and these were veritable sources of waste and corruption. That was why they were abolished. Bringing them back is inimical to the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians.

The way of proposing budget should be for the executive to discuss every detail of the budget, in preparation, with different Committees and sub-Committees of the National Assembly and the National Assembly to discuss its budget with the Ministry of Finance. Then, the budget should be brought together as consolidated budget and formally presented to the National Assembly, to be deliberated and debated upon and passed into law. It would then be implemented as revenues are available. Where budget proposals are extremely ambitious like the current budget and revenue sources are so uncertain, more borrowing may have to be embarked upon, almost up to 50% of the budget or the budget may be grossly unimplementable and unimplemented.

Neither is a choice as both are bad. Management of the economy is one of the key responsibilities of the President as prescribed in the Constitution. He cannot do so if he does not have his hands on the budget. Management of the economy is shared responsibility where the Presidency has the lion share of the responsibility. But if the National Assembly becomes a cog in the wheel, the executive efforts will not yield much reward or progress. The two have to work synchronisingly together to provide the impetus and the conducive environment for the private sector to play its active vanguard role. Management of the budget is the first step to manage the economy. It will be interesting if the National Assembly will be honourable enough and begin the process of transparency, responsibility and realism by publishing its recurrent budgets for 2016 as it should normally be done.

Hopefully, the National Assembly will take a step back and do what is right not only in making its own budget transparent but in all matters of financial administration and management including audit of its accounts by external outside auditor from 1999 to date. This, if it is done, will bring a new dawn to democracy in Nigeria and a new and better image for the National Assembly and it will surely avoid the Presidency and the National Assembly going into face-off all the time on budgets and financial matters.

While I thank you for your patience and understanding, please accept, Dear Senate President and Honourable Speaker of the House, the assurances of my highest consideration.

So Hilarious! Nigerians on Social Media React to the Mandatory Polygamy in Eritrea (Photos)

Social media memes have trailed the controversial announcement of compulsory polygamy made by the government of Eritrea to cater for the interest of the teaming single women.

According to the statement written on the soft copy of a document circulating on the Internet, Eritrea has ordered their men to marry not less than two wives or face life sentence.

In the statement, Eritrea called for all men in the country to marry at least two wives and the government assured the men that it would pay for the marriage ceremonies and houses. According to the government, the order is because there is an acute shortage of men occasioned by causalities during the civil war with Ethiopia.

The statement, though not officially confirmed, is written in Arabic. Here is the English translation:

"Based on the law of God in polygamy, and given the circumstances which the country is experiencing in terms of men shortage, the Eritrean department of Religious Affairs has decided on the following:

“First that every man shall marry at least two women and the man who refuses to do so shall be subjected to life imprisonment with hard labour.

“The woman who tries to prevent her husband from marrying another wife shall be punished to life imprisonment.”
