Must Read - President Buhari Maybe Heartless - FFK
“Aside the 105 soldiers killed by Boko Haram, additional 34 soldiers were killed two days ago but it wasn’t in the news”– Deji Adeyanju.
I concur with Mr. Deji Adeyanju. The most heartless and
reprehensible thing that our government could have done is to cover-up
the fact that 105 of our soldiers were killed by Boko Haram a few days
ago. To do such a thing is simply evil.
A soldier ought to be honoured in death and this is especially so
if he died in the course of doing his duty and fighting for his nation.
The government has not only dishonoured them by not acknowledging
their sacrifice but they have also buried them in the wilderness like
rabid dogs.
This is wickedness of the highest order and President Buhari, his
Chief of Army Staff and his Minister of Defence should bury their heads
in shame.
Anyone that buys the lie and propaganda that the 105 soldiers never
died and that they are still alive is a compound fool or a village
idiot.
Will the military also deny the fact that a few days ago 34 of our
soldiers were killed by Boko Haram? These boys died for their country.
Why deny them?
I am outraged by the fact that a soldier will sacrifice his life
for his country yet the citizens and authorities of that country don’t
even appreciate it.
Pictures of the dead bodies were posted on social media. Everyone
in the military knows that those soldiers are dead. It is an open
secret. Yet because government denies it so many people just choose to
believe them.
The truth is that Boko Haram must have used chemical weapons in the
attack. When you look at the pictures of the dead bodies this is
obvious. It was probably mustard gas.
All we want from the military is the truth. If 105 soldiers were not killed then how many actually were?
The whole episode happened last week in Borno State and the military authorities are denying it. I am sickened by that.
If others cannot appreciate the importance of honouring our dead
soldiers, I can. I will not be intimidated and I will not remain silent.
Tell us where our boys are buried and if you refuse to do so we
will keep asking. There must be accountability and respect for those who
have made the supreme sacrifice just to keep the rest of us safe. Our
soldiers deserve that much.
Finally, let it be said loud and clear that since President Buhari
came to power he has not bought one bullet for the military. Considering
the fact that we are in the middle of a protracted and very bloody war I
believe that this is utterly shameful. If you say you want to fight and
defeat Boko Haram then why are you not buying arms for your troops?
This brings me to other matters and raises other questions about our President’s sincerity of purpose and commitment.
You say that you are fighting Boko Haram yet you are travelling the
world drinking tea with world leaders whilst your soldiers are secretly
being slaughtered.
You say you are fighting Boko Haram yet you were nominated as their
spokesman and chief negotiator two years ago in a proposed peace talks
with the Federal Government.
You say you are fighting Boko Haram but the man you appointed as
your National Security Adviser was retired from the army a few years ago
for ordering the release of Boko Haram terrorists under suspicious
circumstances.
You say you are fighting Boko Haram but the first thing you did
when you came to power was to remove military checkpoints. This
guaranteed Boko Haram free movement and access to the entire country.
You say you are fighting Boko Haram yet last year you told the world that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North.
You say you are fighting terror yet since you came to power Boko
Haram has grown in strength, has regained lost territory and has been
declared the “worlds number one most deadly terror group” by the Global
Terror Index.
You say you are fighting terror yet since you came to power
Nigeria, according to the Global Terror Index, has been declared as not
just having “the first most deadly terror group in the world” which is
Boko Haram but also of having “the fourth most deadly terror group in
the world” which is a group that the Index describe as the “Fulani
militants” and that we call the Fulani herdsmen.
You say you are fighting Boko Haram yet since you came to power
Nigeria has been declared the world’s “third most terrorised country” by
the Global Terror Index after Iraq and Afghanistan which were declared
first and second respectively, whilst Syria and Pakistan were declared
fourth and fifth.
You say you are a “born again democrat” yet you voted against the
protection of human rights at the United Nations alongside Iran,
Zimbabwe and North Korea.
You say you respect human rights yet you barricade Colonel Sambo
Dasuki, the former National Security Adviser, in his home, endanger his
life, deny him medical attention, flout court orders and make him
critically ill.
You say you respect human rights yet you arrest Governor Boni
Haruna simply for standing as surety for Dasuki and you try to force him
to abandon his friend.
You say you respect human rights yet you raid Governor Attahiru
Bafarawa’s home and arrest and detain his son simply because he is
friends with Dasuki.
You say you respect freedom of speech and human rights yet you lock
up Nnamdi Kanu indefinitely and your security agents shoot two unarmed
and harmless pro-Biafra youths to death in Enugu simply because they
were involved in a peaceful demonstration.
You say that you are a believer in the rule of law yet you ordered
your secret police to storm a sitting governor’s official home in Akwa
Ibom knowing that he enjoys immunity from such matters.
You say you love Nigeria yet a bomb goes off in Kano killing over
21 people and instead of coming back home to mourn with your people you
continue junketing around the world.
You say you know how to run Nigeria but according to Paul Wallace
and Michael Cohen of the United States magazine known as Bloomberg
Business your “bounce has become bust”, your “policies irk investors”,
you have “destroyed Nigeria’s economy” and you “do not have the capacity
to move the country forward”.
You say that you know how to manage the economy yet stocks and
shares have crashed, small businesses are folding up, our foreign
currency has dried up, industries are collapsing, agricultural output
has decreased, our foreign reserves have been spent and the value of the
naira has depreciated since you came to power and it continues to fall.
You say you know what you are doing and how to manage Nigeria’s
affairs yet the U.S-based Washington Times newspaper says that you lied
to America about your so-called good intentions for Nigeria and that you
have “duped the United States of America” with your false promises and
empty words.
You say that you are fighting poverty, yet according to the
Business Day newspaper, Nigerians are “getting poorer for the first time
since 1999”.
You say that you will restore our country’s fortunes yet the fuel
queues are back and the prices of food, transport and basic commodities
are soaring by the day.
You say that you are a man of your word and after you were declared
winner of the election you promised not to malign, persecute, witchunt,
demonise, disrespect or go after President Goodluck Jonathan and
members of his administration unless you have concrete evidence of
wrongdoing, yet when you came to power you did precisely that.
You say you are fair-minded, true to your friends, loyal to your
supporters and always reasonable yet you did not concede even one
ministerial slot or approve one ministerial nominee of the two men that
helped you more than any others to win the presidential election, namely
President Olusegun Obasanjo and Governor Bola Tinubu.
You say that you want the country to change, that you believe in
fairness and equity, that you are a progressive, that you believe in a
generational powershift and that you want the country to move forward,
yet you are trying to destroy Governor Bukola Saraki simply because he
won an election and became Senate President.
You say that you are fighting corruption yet no one has been made
to face the music or brought to book over the 25 billion naira REMITA
and Systemspecs scandal, and neither has the matter been clarified or
resolved even though it has been established that the whole deal was
struck under your watch.
You say you love Nigeria and all Nigerians yet your Fulani kinsmen,
under the guise of herding cattle, are slaughtering thousands of
innocent people all over the south and Middle Belt, yet you remain their
Grand Patron and you refuse to utter to a word of condemnation for
their actions.
You say you respect Nigerians yet every time you travel out of the
country you spend your time telling foreigners and the foreign media how
useless, rotten and corrupt your people are and how you are the only
saint in Nigeria.
In view of all these, I am constrained to ask whether President
Muhammadu Buhari has a conscience or is it that he has just lost touch
with reality? Everything that I said about him during the presidential
campaign has been confirmed and in just six months he has betrayed the
trust and squandered the goodwill that the Nigerian people bestowed upon
him in the March presidential election. I have to say that I am not
surprised by this because his “change” mantra was just an illusion.
What he and his APC failed to disclose to the Nigerian people
during the campaign is that what he meant by “change” was a change from
light to darkness. Sadly our people trusted him and now he has plunged
our nation into that darkness.
May God enable him to find the courage to retrace his steps before
it is too late and may the Lord deliver Nigeria from those that are
around him that fail to tell him the truth.
I gather that they call those of us who oppose President Buhari and
that are PDP supporters the “wailing wailers”. That is an interesting
expression because by the time Buhari finishes with Nigeria I have
little doubt that the entire country will be wailing.
The truth is that I would rather be a “wailing wailer” that
posterity vindicates than a “lying liar” or a “howling howler” who has
lost his way and who continues to have confidence in a man like Buhari
and a party like the APC that is hell bent on destroying our country and
our cherished democratic institutions with their Rambo-like
insensitivity and total ineptitude.
All those “lying liars” and “howling howlers” who voted for
President Buhari should clap for themselves for the terrible mess our
country is now in. We will remember them in our prayers too.
13-year-old Girl Forced By Sick Couple to Sexually Assault Boy While Watching Porn (Photos)
Two psychos who forced a 13-year-old girl to take part in a humiliating sexual assault on a 14-year-old boy have been jailed.
Jemma Baskerville and former partner, Stephen Lawrence forced the
boy to watch a pornographic video as he was held down while the
13-year-old girl was asked to put her hand down his trouser and assault
him.
The boy endured 45 minutes of humiliation as he was forced to
perform adult acts. Baskerville started the sexual activity during a
play fight and then urged the 13-year-old girl to touch the boy and
"make him horny".
Stephen Lawrence
Baskerville, 39, of Bideford, and Lawrence, 45, of nearby Northam,
were found guilty of causing the 14-year-old boy to engage in sexual
activity without consent and inciting the 13-year-old to engage in
sexual activity.
Recorder Andrew Oldland told the pair: "This went way beyond normal behaviour. You were in positions of trust and took advantage of the victims' naivety.
"Baskerville took what started as play fighting into a serious
sexual assault. The 13-year-old girl was the means by which she carried
out this offence, and that is deeply disturbing.
"She humiliated the boy by laughing at him and commenting about
how long it was taking. A reference to that was used against him at
school and in his victim personal statement he describes how horrible
that was.
"He says he felt worthless and humiliated and felt a sense of shame."
Baskerville was jailed for four years and Lawrence for four and a
half after a judge at Exeter Crown Court ruled they both posed a risk to
children.

Revealed!!! How Abacha's N65billion Loot Was Spent - Okonjo-Iweala
The former Minister of Finance and Co-ordinating Minister for the
Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala told the World Bank that about $500
million (N65bn) recovered from the late Head of State, General Sani
Abacha in Switzerland was spent in the 2004 and 2005 budgets on roads,
electricity, education, water and health across all six geo-political
zones of Nigeria.
This was contained in the documents the World Bank sent to
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, following
enquiries made by SERAP on how the money, tagged Abacha loot was spent.
A statement issued on Sunday, November 29, by SERAP executive
director Adetokunbo Mumuni, said the organization has “received several
documents from the World Bank totalling over 700 pages on information on
the spending of recovered assets stolen by the late General Abacha,
with some of the documents suggesting that the Abacha loot was spent on
roads, electricity, education, health and water.”
The organisation said: “SERAP can confirm that last week we
received several documents from Ann May of the Access to Information
Team of the World Bank following our Access to Information Request to
the Bank. We also received a letter dated 24 November 2015 from Mr
Rachid Benmessaoud, Director of the World Bank in Africa.”
“In total, SERAP has received over 700 pages of documents,
which we are now closely studying and scrutinising with a view to
discovering whether the documents contain details that Nigerians would
like to see and whether the information correspond to the facts on the
ground. After this analysis, we will respond to the Bank and consider
our options, including filing an appeal before the Bank’s Access to
Information Appeals Board and taking other appropriate legal actions
nationally and internationally to discover what exactly happened to
Abacha recovered loot,” the organisation said.
The organisation said that “In the meantime our preliminary
review of some of the documents and the letter from Mr Rachid
Benmessaoud have revealed certain facts which raise more questions about
what exactly happened to Abacha loot: First, that Mrs Ngozi
Okonjo-Iweala as Minister of Finance in a letter dated 9 January 2005
explained to the Bank that around $500m (N65bn) of Abacha loot received
from Switzerland was programmed into and spent in the 2004 and 2005
budgets on roads, electricity, education, water and health across all
six geo-political zones of Nigeria.”
“Second, Mrs Iweala explained to the Bank that N18.60bn was
spent on roads; N10.83bn spent on health; N7bn spent on education;
N6.20bn spent on water; and N21.70bn spent on electricity. She also said
that part of the funds were spent on new and ongoing investment
projects. Mrs Iweala said that relevant federal ministries have the full
details on the spending of repatriated Abacha loot. The Bank noted that
there was no funds monitoring and tracking mechanism in place to trace
the spending of Abacha loot,” the organisation also disclosed.
“Third, Mr Rachid Benmessaoud confirmed that the World Bank
played a monitoring role in a return of assets by Switzerland but that
the Bank is not currently involved in the monitoring of spending of
Abacha loot that have been returned to Nigeria in recent years. He said
that the Bank would be prepared to set up a mechanism to monitor the use
of Abacha loot if the Nigerian government request the Bank’s assistance
in this respect.”
"SERAP then argued that “given Mrs Okonjo-Iweala’s involvement
in the spending of Abacha loot, President Muhammadu Buhari should
urgently probe the role of the Ministry of Finance and relevant federal
ministries at the time in the spending of Abacha loot particularly given
the strong allegations of mismanagement that characterised the use of
the funds
The group said: “Although Mrs Okonjo-Iweala said that Abacha
loot was spent in the 2004 and 2005 budgets on roads, electricity,
education, water and health across all six geo-political zones of
Nigeria, there is no evidence of such projects as millions of Nigerians
continue to travel on dead roads, while they continue to lack access to
adequate electricity supply, water, health and quality education.
Therefore, President Buhari can no longer continue to remain silent on
this issue of public interest if Nigerians are to continue to trust him
in his fight against corruption.”
It will be recalled that in a letter dated 15 October 2015 and
signed by Ann May of the Access to Information Team, the Bank said that
“In response to your request under AI3982, we would like to inform you
that we are still considering your request and need additional time to
provide you with a more comprehensive response.”
The letter reads in part “In most cases, we will be able to respond
within twenty (20) working days from receipt of a request for
information. However, we may need additional time in special
circumstances, for example, if the request is complex or voluminous or
if it requires further review by or consultation with internal World
Bank units, external parties, the Access to Information Committee, or
the World Bank’s Board of Executive Directors.”
Bishop Kukah - Muslim elites in the North laid the foundation for Boko Haram -
Bishop Kukah. |
“A hypocritical elite continues to believe that it can claim the benefits of democracy but use it only to consolidate its hold on power. This is what has laid the foundation for what is now Boko Haram. We must locate the current crisis of Boko Haram within the context of the inability of the northern Muslim elite to live by their own dubious creed of being Muslims. They preached Sharia Law but only for the poor. They preach a religion that encourages education, yet their own people are held in the bondage of ignorance. They came to power on the basis of a democratic society but they turned around and declared Sharia to generate a false consciousness among the poor that they want a theocracy. They did not wish to live by the same standards, so they decided to live their own Islam in the capitals of the world away from the prying eyes of their own people. Boko Haram began as a revolt against this mendacity, subterfuge and hypocrisy. Now, I hear Muslims in northern Nigeria hiding under the cover of the facts by saying: ‘These Boko Haram people are not Muslims. They do not represent us’. Well, first, they are your own children. You must take responsibility for what has made them what they are today and to the rest of society. They claim they have been inspired by the Quran and no other holy book. They say they want to build an Islamic state. So, they are Muslims. After all, from the debates of the Constituent Assemblies of 1979, 1988, and 1995 and beyond, did their fathers and grandfathers not stage walkouts, demanding Sharia Law? Was it not to tame them that President Ibrahim Babangida declared what he called ‘no-go areas’ in the debates about our constitution? “The promise to institute Sharia has become the most potent tool for political mobilisation and organisation. Till date, the tactics may have changed, but the essence has not. Rather than face the tough questions of how and why over 15 million children in the northern states are on the streets; how and why the northern states are falling behind on almost every index of development, the northern Muslim elite continues to live for just the moment, with no plans for tomorrow. Should we pretend that a society that allows the forced marriages of its young daughters could frown on the idea of a group kidnapping and forcing young girls into sexual slavery? Islam must have an honest look at the mirror and have an internal discussion''.

He had earlier said that he was an auto dealer. He disappeared with my vehicle for three months before it was recovered from the person he sold it to in Kaduna. Before his arrest, I called him severally but he always told me that he would soon bring the car, unknown to me that he had already sold it. I never instructed him to sell the car as he claimed.”.The state Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade who paraded the suspect and his accomplices, said that Lawal went away with the Toyota Sequia SUV belonging to one Pastor John Akorede Aderounmu under the pretext that he wanted to carry out some repairs, only to abscond with the vehicle.
“The suspect sold the vehicle to a criminal receiver in Kaduna State without the knowledge and the consent of the owner, and refused to respond to the owner’s calls when he demanded for the return of his vehicle.” Oyebade stated. He added that when Lawal was arrested, he confessed to have sold the vehicle, leading to the arrest of other suspects. Forget Biafra, I will vote an Igbo man for President in 2019 - IBB
In a disclosure to The Interview, a magazine published by Azu
Ishiekwene, focusing on leading professionals and politicians, former
Nigerian Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, says he will support Igbo to
take over power in 2019 adding that there was no need for Biafra
agitation.
Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida |
"We do not need this distraction now, I will vote for an Igbo president in 2019, if I find one," he said.
The former president also spoke on the death of Moshood Kashimawo
Olawale (MKO) Abiola, the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993
election, said that he received the news with shock but without regret.
When asked whether he believed that Abiola died of natural causes, IBB responded: "I should know? I didn’t serve the tea…!"
The managing director of The Interview, Azu Ishiekwene, said IBB
also spoke about his childhood friend, Mamman Vasta, who was killed on
his orders for allegedly planning a coup to overthrow him and he talked
about the late dictator, Sani Abacha.
Ishiekwene said IBB told him about how former governor of Abia
State, Orji Kalu, arranged a meeting between him and President Muhammadu
Buhari in 2006.
"One thing you guys in the media want is for us to be exchanging words with each other each time we see," Babangida reportedly said.
"Babangida spoke on the two 'most traumatic' coups during his
eight-year regime – the Mamman Vatsa and Gideon Orkar coups – revealing,
for the first time, a meeting he had with Vatsa before his trial began.
The interview also covered Dele Giwa and the C130 Hercules plane crash in Ejigbo, which left 150 military officers dead," Ishiekwene said.
Notorious Serial Rapist Who Raped Women in Six Countries Over Several Years Captured (Photo)
notorious serial rapist, Dariusz Pawel Kotwica |
A notorious serial rapist who murdered, raped and maimed his way
across Europe including Britain and taking advantage of its open borders
to evade police and find new victims in six countries over several
years has been arrested.
Experts said last night that Dariusz Pawel Kotwica, 29, could be the first serial killer to have struck across Europe.
Kotwica has confessed to the frenzied stabbing of an elderly woman
and her husband in Austria, as well as killing a pensioner in Sweden a
month earlier.
Kotwica became really notorious after he daubed bizarre phrases on
an Austrian woman’s naked body after raping her and police say he has
told of his ‘joy’ at torturing, claiming he was urged to kill by inner
voices. An official report claims that Kotwica, who has convictions
across Europe, lived for ‘several years’ in the UK and detectives fear
he has committed ‘serious crimes’ here.
map showing areas the serial rapist terrorized in his raping and killing spree
The details of Pole's killing spree emerged for the first time in a
report commissioned by the Home Office on the benefits of police across
the EU sharing DNA and fingerprint records. It says he was sought by
forces across Europe after the double murder of a married couple in
Vienna on May 21 this year. The bodies of Gerhard Hintermeier, 75, and
his wife Erna, 74, were discovered at their home by relatives.
They had been bludgeoned and stabbed several times while written in
brown paint on the woman’s naked body was either the Latin phrase
‘tantum ergo’ meaning ‘only then’, or the chemical element ‘tantalum’.
Police identified Kotwica by forensic evidence left at the crime
scene that was shared across Europe under the Prum data-sharing scheme,
which the British Government wants to join. Kotwica was caught by German
police on June 8 and extradited to Austria.
According to police there, he not only ‘made immediately a
comprehensive confession’ to the murder of the elderly couple and
admitted he ‘raped the dying old lady’ but also revealed he had
committed another murder just weeks earlier in Sweden.
She's Nudist And She's A Bishop - Meet Archdeacon Karen Gorham
I feel some of the Churches in Europe has lost the calling of God, this is preposterous to say the least. Read the story below
The Church of England’s latest woman bishop, who is a strong
advocate of naturism stripped off in her youth and visited many nudist
beaches many years ago.
The Archdeacon of Buckingham, the Venerable Karen Gorham, 51, was
brought up in a naturist family, though she gave up going nude on
beaches in her teenage years. The unmarried Archdeacon has even written a
controversial treatise nudist idealogy.
In her role as a Bishop, part of the area of Dorset that she will
now oversee includes the famous Studland nudist beach near Poole, where
she spent many summer holidays with her parents, who have been keen
naturists for most of their lives.
Archdeacon Gorham and her younger sister also went to the Arcadians
of Greenglades naturism club near the family home in Billericay, Essex.
The Archdeacon said the Church often portrayed the naked body as
something rude to be covered up, but Christians shouldn’t feel
uncomfortable wandering around in the nude, as long as they were not
breaking the law.
In a theological booklet she co-wrote with an academic 15 years ago while a vicar in Maidstone, Kent, Archdeacon Gorham said: ‘The connection of nakedness and sex, though it may seem inescapable, need not necessarily be so…
'Life in a naturist club, or a naturist resort, is just about
doing things which one generally does with clothes on, but unclothed
when the circumstances permit it.’
Archdeacon Gorham, who is the eighth woman to be made a bishop, added last night: ‘Naturism is often misunderstood, so people jump to the wrong conclusions.
‘But it is a natural way of doing things, and gives people freedom.’
But the Rev George Curry, a vicar in Newcastle and former chairman
of the conservative Church Society, said the Archdeacon’s comments made
her unsuitable to be a bishop.
‘Wandering around with nothing on goes against traditional teaching,’ he said.
‘Except for medical emergencies, nakedness should be kept between man and wife.’
Heartless Mother and Grandmother Kill Baby By Starving Him of Food and Water for Days
And you thought our African grandmothers are wicked. This is really hard to believe but check out the details below
A heartless mother and grandmother put a baby through excrutiating
pain before he died. The seven-month-old boy had lost 17% of his body
weight in just a few days while under their care.
Jessica Price, 24, and Angela Price, 62, were convicted at Luton
Crown Court of not seeking help and allowing his death. The boy, named
only as "Baby Imran", had sunken eyes as a result of dehydration and was
found dead by his mother in January 2014.
Christopher Donnellan QC, prosecuting, said the house constantly
reeked of cigarette smoke and there were concerns about the clutter
inside and cramped conditions.
Judge Richard Foster said the pair "wilfully neglected"
the boy. Passing sentence, Judge Foster said Imran had been suffering
from an untreated nappy rash so severe a paediatric nurse described it
as the worst she had ever seen.
"Baby Imran's suffering in those last few days is unimaginable," he said.
He added: "Babies are completely helpless and rely entirely for their wellbeing upon the care of parents and others responsible for them."
The pair were also found guilty of cruelty to a person under 16 by
failing to provide adequate food and drink. Angela Price was also
convicted of causing or allowing Imran to suffer severe physical harm
because of the untreated nappy rash.
They have each been jailed for eight years. Her granddaughter had admitted a charge of cruelty in relation to the nappy rash.
A Serious Case Review of the pair's interactions with health professionals during Imran's life is due to be published

SHOCKING! Man Beats Wife to a Pulp, Brutally Rapes Her on the Street in Front of Their Children
A 50-year-old Kenyan man identified as Christopher Bodo, an
employee at Total Kenya Airport who could not believe his wife was
cheating on him allegedly beat his wife to a pulp and subsequently raped
her on the street in front of her children to shame her.
The man has been arrested by the police and is currently being investigated on a charge of rape.
According to reports, Bodo returned home early from work after
learning that his wife was having an affair with another man. He
assaulted her inside the house, however, she soon managed to run out.
Unfortunately, her husband who was still fuming with anger, chased her
and continued the beating on the streets.
While a crowd reportedly gathered to watched the assault, Bodo
undressed his wife and raped her in front of the crowd and their
children.
Investigation into the matter is ongoing.

been released by her abductors.
According to reports, the 72-year-old mother of the former Nigerian
striker regained her freedom at about 1.30 a.m.last Saturday, 12 days
after her abduction.
She was said to have been abandoned on the popular East-West Road,
the major gateway linking the South-South to other parts of the country.
It was further learnt that her captors abandoned her on the major
road as they were allegedly being pursued by police operatives.
The abductors were said to have dumped their victim on the road as
the police were closing in on them to avoid being apprehended.
It could not be established if ransom was paid before she was freed
by her abductors but unconfirmed report said the kidnappers may have
agreed to collect the N600,000 Siasia had agreed to pay as ransom.
Police authorities in the state confirmed the release of Madam Beauty Siasia.
Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Asinim
Butswat, claimed her release was due to a hot chase by operatives of the
Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command.
Butswat said, “Madam Beauty was abandoned by her abductors
along the East West Road, at about 0130 hrs, November 28, 2015, due to
hot pursuit by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Police Command."
Read the amazing story of a Nigerian everyone is talking about
True story!
On a sub zero freezing but bright and sunny late morning in Toronto, I gained an Adopted Mum. So there I was patiently awaiting my turn to go through immigrations with the Toronto Border force, and within earshot, I heard a rather fraught and somewhat distressing conversation between a stern border force immigration official...and a wheel chair bound grandma...near enough same age as my mum.
She obviously didn't speak much in terms of English, but I could tell from her pidgin English that she is Delta State, possibly Urhobo.
The immigration officer was asking her who she came to see and how long for...she couldn't understand a word. The immigration officer was at this stage getting rather impatient and started raising her voice at which point the poor lady started crying. So being the only Nigerian around, I stepped up and politely told the officials that I speak the same language as the lady. Quite quickly, the lady looked at me and said my son, and started rapping Urhobo splattered with pidgin English. Although I told her I wasn't Urhobo but I can converse in pidgin quite well. And that if we cannot make any headway, I'd call a few close friends that are Urhobo. To cut a long story short, the immigration officials were categorical that if they couldn't locate the relative that invited her, they'd have to send her back.
The poor lady broke into an Asthma crisis upon hearing "deport". Apparently her daughter who has been in Canada for a decade invited her and before Mama left Nigeria, she (daughter) gave her all her contact details. Already in a terribly distressed state, grandma had misplaced the details. Speaking pidgin to her, I asked if she has a cellphone...otherwise called "handset", that I can look at to get her daughter's contact details. She promptly produced her phone...And guess what? The phone turned out to be one of the very old style Nokias. As I was scrolling through the phone and trying to locate Charity, her daughter's number...as if we didn't have enough stuffs to deal with, the phone died on us! I opened it up so that I could swap the sim card into one of mine...only to discover it was indeed one of the old style full size SIMS which obviously couldn't fit into mine.
By this time, I had spent an additional hour and a quarter trying to assist...One thing was paramount in my mind, to do all that was humanly possible to avoid her being sent back to the hell hole she just escaped from. Lol. Still visibly distressed, I got my phone out and called a close friend who lives in Nigeria...who is also Urhobo and speaks the dialect perfectly. Na so the woman eyes lit up when she heard a familiar dialect down the line telling her to calm down that all Is going to be well. That that man with her is going to sort it all out. Lol. Whilst all these was going on, I started going through her hand luggage meticulously and methodically...and after about 45 minutes I hit the jackpot and a presto there it was all crumpled...was Charity, her daughter's contact details! Promptly dialled her number...and a rather apprehensive voice came through...It was Charity - mama's daughter.
She had apparently been waiting for three solid hours in the arrival hall worried sick. Without further ado, we promptly got our passports processed and made our way out...into the waiting arms of Charity, mama's daughter....whom she hadn't seen in 10 very long years. Tears were flowing all around...and mama insisted that I should come for her so that she could pray for me. Right there in the arrival hall, I knelt down next to her wheelchair and she prayed and prayed....without minding the hordes of Canadians walking past wondering what the heck Is going on in the middle of the arrival hall.
To cap it all up, I gave mama a parting gift and told the daughter who was apparently gobsmacked, dumbfounded and extremely emotional...that I have a mum of a similar age, who also quite often travels wheelchair bound and in all these I would want to think that should my mum par adventure find herself in a similar situation in future, a similarly kind hearted human being would step in and intercede.
Although it took at least 2.5 hours out of what is a hectic schedule for me, I couldn't possibly have walked away from Grandma. And of course mamas daughter insisted on taking a selfie of me with mama before I dashed off...By a stroke of coincidence, the friend who i called to calm mama....has a sister called...yup, you guessed it, Charity...What an eventful morning!

Buhari is a liar - Gov. Fayose
Read the press statement below...
Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, said in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday that Governor Fayose advised President Buhari to tackle the collapsed economy of the country headlong instead of going from one country to another, casting aspersion on Nigerians with his sing-song of fighting corruption.
He said the President’s attitude was yet to change from that of 1984 when he was military Head of State, adding that; “Buhari’s statement in Tehran, Iran that it was easier for him as a military Head of State in 1984 to arrest corrupt individuals and put them in protective custody was a pointer to the fact that he has not changed from the dictator that he was then.
“The truth is that Buhari did not fight corruption in 1984. Rather, he persecuted great Nigerians, especially the likes Chief Adekunle Ajasin, Chief Ambrose Ali, Chief Bisi Onabanjo, Alhaji Lateef Jakande and Chief Bola Ige, who served the people meritoriously. “Is Buhari justifying the imprisonment of Dr Alex Ekwueme, who was only the Vice President or All Progressives Congress (APC) leader like Chief Bisi Akande, who only served as a Deputy Governor?”
While urging the President to stop acting like the sole-administrator of Nigeria and the only honest man among Nigerians, Governor Fayose said “Nigerians are desirous of concrete developments, not rhetoric about fight against corruption that is only being used to persecute perceived political enemies of the President both in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and within the APC.
“As at today, Nigerians are faced with serious hardship occasioned by prolonged fuel scarcity that the Federal Government does not have any solution to. Multi-national companies are laying-off thousands of workers while contractors working for the Federal Government have left their sites.
Yet, what we get to hear from the President is noise in foreign lands about non-existing fight against corruption. “Honestly, this President should get to work and stop lying to Nigerians and the international community.”
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has carpeted President Muhammadu Buhari’s claim that many of those who looted the public treasuries in the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan had started returning the stolen funds to the government, saying the President should rather stay at home to govern the country instead of junketing around the globe and acting like a saint before the international community. The governor challenged the President to tell Nigerians how much was returned and the looters who returned the stolen funds, adding that “Since the purported looted funds belong to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it ought to have been paid into the Federation Account and shared by the Federal, State and Local Government.”

Dino Melaye - Abubakar Audu Never Stole Kogi State Funds
Senator Dino Melaye has come out in defense of the late Prince Abubakar Audu over allegations b the EFCC that he stole N11billion from the State.
Senator Dino Melaye |
Senator Dino Melaye, yesterday affirmed that former governor of
Kogi State and the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the
last Saturday’s inconclusive election, Prince Abubakar Audu did not
loot public funds while in office.
It would be recalled that the late Audu was on March 18, 2013
arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, before
an Abuja High Court on 36 count-charge bordering on criminal breach of
trust and misappropriation of public funds to the tune of N10,
965,837,040.
The senator representing Kogi-West while speaking during a late show on the African Independent Television described the allegations as a witch-hunt.
According to Dino, “How can a man who received N17bn in less than four years steal N11bn? This was a man who paid pensioners, did not owe workers and carried out a big infrastructural development in the state. What has the EFCC been investigating since 2003? It is all politics. Audu never stole Kogi’s money. This was a man who built Kogi State University, Kogi State Polytechnic, Obajana Cement Factory and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dangote Cement. Audu built all the institutions that exist in the state today.”
He ended by praising the late Audu for his selfless nature which accounts for the massive votes he raked in the Kogi gubernatorial votes before his death.
“Audu was the only politician who was down to earth in Kogi State. I was his closest political associate. He loved his people. He was a friend of the downtrodden. It will be difficult for any other governor to connect with the people like Audu did. A man who was ready to listen to bean cake sellers and cobblers was a man to be taken seriously,’" Melaye added.

Abubakar Audu's Son Touted To Be The Next Governorship Candidate Of APC
Due To His Father's Enduring Political Structure And Support, Muhammad, the son of late Prince Audu may emerge the next governorship aspirant from Kogi State.
According to the Punch, there were strong indications on
Wednesday that the campaign organisation of the late Kogi State
governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Abubakar
Audu, was preparing a ground for the emergence of the deceased’s son,
Mohammed, as a replacement for his father.
This is coming after the commission had on Tuesday written the APC,
directing it to submit a replacement for the late Audu who died on
Sunday, a few hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission
declared the November 21 governorship poll in the state inconclusive.
The deceased had polled 240,867 votes in the election while the
Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate and incumbent state Governor, Capt.
Idris Wada (retd.), scored 199,514 votes, leaving a gap of 41,353 votes
between the two leading candidates in the election. INEC had declared
the election inconclusive on the grounds that cancelled votes or
registered voters in the 91 polling units, where the exercise did not
take place were 49,953, a figure higher than Audu’s lead of 41,353
votes.
The party had announced it would hold a fresh primary to produce a
replacement for the deceased APC standard bearer. According to a leader
of the APC in the state, many are of the opinion that Mohammed should
join the race for the governorship position to replace his father. It is
alleged that members of the group, which dominates the APC in the
state, met on Tuesday night following the party’s declaration that
another primary would be held to produce a replacement for the late
governorship candidate to decide on who to side for the rescheduled
governorship primary election.
The APC leader said the late Audu’s political structure was still
intact despite his death and that nobody could win the state
governorship primary of the APC without the backing of Audu’s
supporters. This could be why some of the APC members and supporters of
the party want his son to take over his father's place.
The source said, “Abubakar Audu’s supporters, including his
campaign structure, are rooting for either Audu’s son, Mohammed, or
James Faleke for them not to lose out entirely. They are narrowing it to
either Faleke or Mohammed because the APC machinery believes that the
election has been won. But the party elders and leaders, who worked for
him, will be more comfortable with Mohammed."
The spokesperson for the APC in Kogi State, Abdulmalik Suleiman, said, “We
are mourning. This is the time for sober reflection and we are praying
for our late leader and icon. At the appropriate time, the public will
know because APC has a way of solving its issues and problems.”
Four aspirants have already started jostling for the vacant
position. They are: Faleke, who was Audu’s running mate in last
Saturday’s poll; Yahaya Bello; a former PDP governorship aspirant,
Jubrin Echocho, and Salihu Atawodi.
Eleven Celebrities Who Lied About Their Age
We were all reminded of this not so shocking fact this morning
following the news that Coronation Street have sacked Katie Redford and
will recast the role of Bethany Platt after it emerged she was in fact
25 not 19.
She is of course not the first to have a stage age and a real age
and she won’t be the last. Here’s eleven other stars who have also bent
the truth.
Nicole Scherzinger of Pussy Cat Dolls |
Nicole Scherzinger
In 2008 former Pussycat Doll Nicole, now 36, admitted that she
been lying about her age. She revealed she was about to turn 30, when
the bands website claimed she was two years younger – 28. When
confronted about the white lie she said: “I should’ve said I was 27!”
Agnes Deyn
Agnes Deyn
Model/ actress Agnes Deyn, claimed she was 18 when she met a
modelling agent back in 2006. She was in fact 24 – so not a teenage at
all.
She admitted: “When I decided I would really do modelling I was
like 18, and I think at the time that was quite old for a new face, so
we knocked off a few years.”
Agnes is also not her real name – she was born Laura Hollins.
Eminem
Eminem
Rapper Eminem, 42, is probably the last person we’d expect to lie
about his age. In 1999 he said in an interview he was 24 when he was in
fact 27. Ouch
Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj
Nicki, who is rumoured to have a fake bottom, also had a fake age
when she started out. In 2011 the star was involved in a flight and
unfortunately the police report released revealed her real age – which
wasn’t 26 but 28. There’s two morals to this story: Don’t lie about your
age and don’t get in trouble with the police.
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez
Here’s another example of the police exposing someone’s real
age. J-Lo had always claimed she was born in 1970 but when she and then
boyfriend Puff Daddy were questioned about a shooting incident that
occurred in a nightclub, she was forced to admit she was actually born
in 1969 .
James Blunt
James Blunt
James not so blunt, nor truthful for that matter. In an attempt to
appeal to a younger audience, JB shaved three years off his age until he
was busted by a broadsheet aged 36. That's not such a Beautiful lie.
Nadine Coyle
Nadine Coyle
The celebs don’t just pretend to be younger – if they need to be
older to get something they will. In 2001 Nadine auditioned for Irish
Popstars and even won a place in a band before it was revealed that
she’d lied about her age. She was 16 years old, two years younger than
the minimum age requirement of 18.
There was a happy ending though as she went to enter Popstars: the
Rivals in the UK, bag a place in Girls Aloud, got famous, went to the
US, opened an Irish bar, released some singles and the rest is a whole
lotta history.
Nelly
Nelly
Nelly the rapper was betrayed by his birth certificate when Teen
People put him in their Hottest Stars Under 25 round-up – a fact
confirmed by his reps at the time. Only, one call later and it suddenly
emerged that he was, in fact, 28. Oh the shame. Try sticking a plaster
over that one Mr Nelly.
Geri Halliwell
Geri Halliwell
The Spice Girl claimed to be 21 when the group first burst onto the
scene. But it later emerged she was in fact 25 (which we always thought
was more likely). She went on to celebrate her 29th birthday a few
times before Victoria Beckham let slip that Geri had already turned 30.
That’s what friends are for, eh?
Sandra Bullock
Sandra Bullock
Sandra is another example of someone else pretending to be older to
get a job. The brunette beauty admitted that she lied to producers of
Love Potion (no, us neither) telling them she was 29 in order to place
an ‘older scientist’ when she was in fact a few years younger than that.
She was later outed by Vanity Fair magazine – this time for pretending to be younger.
Her response: “After a while, you have no idea how old you are because you've lied so many times.
"I always said I would never lie, but one time, when I didn't it worked against me. So I figure you just keep them guessing."
Faith Paloma
Paloma Faith
The British singer knocked four years off her age when she was trying to get signed.
She admitted: “When I was asked what my age was in that first meeting, I blurted out 23, when I was actually 27.”
“I didn’t plan on doing it beforehand and it wasn’t a calculated thing.”
She went on to say: “It was only afterwards I realised why I said it.
“I remember reading about KT Tunstall being old, and she was 27
at the time. So I felt that everyone was going to focus on my age, not
my music. I thought I’d try and protect myself in that way.
“I think if I’d said I was 27, I wouldn’t have got signed. One hundred per cent.”
