Defeat at the 2015 Polls Was a Thunderstrike - PDP

The national leadership of the PDP has said the party didn't prepare for defeat in the last general elections.

''The defeat was the first to be suffered by the party, which had been controlling the majority of the government at the centre since the country returned to democracy in 1999.

Apart from losing the presidential election to the APC, the PDP was also defeated in many states which it had held power for the past 16 years, even the states it won in, there are pending cases in the tribunal with question marks on if elections really held in those states.
