The Taraba Governorship Election Petition Tribunal ruled on Saturday, November 7, that Alhassan had won the polls and ordered Darius Ishaku of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to vacate the position immediately.

She became the first female Chief Magistrate in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in 1996.
She was the first female Deputy Chief Registrar and Director Litigation, High Court of the FCT Abuja in 1997.
She was appointed the first female Attorney General of my Taraba State in 1997.
She was appointed the First female Secretary of the FCT Judicial Service Committee in November, 2002.
She became the first female Chief Registrar of the High Court of the FCT in December 2003
She’s a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Fiji, a country in the South Pacific.
She’s been married twice; first to Professor Ango Abdullahi and then to Engineer M S Alhassan.
